Kenneth Taylor, a married American couple adopted her. She explained that she worked on the farm of Taylor's family for the first ten years. Bryner is her older brother. She also has two adopted sisters. The Poarch family moved to Texas from the Phillipines as she was at the age of 13. Her older sisters remained there. Poarch was later stationed for several years in Japan as a member of the United States Navy. Bella stated that her father was abusive to her and their brother. Bella also stated she was not able to make friends in the school.
